Rain, snow or shine, your pet is prepared! Jenny happily races around the play yard after a new snow fall. We provide raincoats and waterproof, sherpa lined parkas, as needed, for your pet to wear while staying with us, during our inclement weather days, at no extra charge. |

Treats and toys, galore! Your pet has a wide variety of treats
and toys to sample from and play with during their stay with us.
We love to let them try lots, to see what their favorite choices
are. (We'll let you know their special favorites!) While healthy treats and enticing toys are included as a part of the fun for your canine, (and food with Boarding guests) while they are here, you can also purchase most of these items, to take home with you. You are welcome to bring their favorite items from home, as well, for them to have and play with. |

Homemade gourmet meals available! (Cooked or raw) Yes, you could eat this! (In fact, we did have it for dinner, after taking the pictures-delicious!) But we prepare it for your dog, served in glass dishes (no toxic plastic leaching, or magnetic affects of stainless steel dishes) to affect the high energy and nutrition of this meal. Served with or without grains, offering a variety of proteins and vegetables (and grains), according to your specifications. Homemade meals are an add-on item. Add as a one time gourmet meal for
an extra special treat or occasion (birthday?), or everyday, for
the very healthiest, highest nutrition we can offer. |

Vitamins, minerals, omega 3 & supplements included! All of our overnight guests, receive an all natural (no synthetics) vitamin and mineral supplement, omega 3's (from fish and other natural sources), and enzymes, regardless of which diet you choose to have served to your pet. We provide for your pet's safety and comfort! Ready for her winter evening "constitutional",
Jenny is suited up in her snuggly warm waterproof, sherpa lined
parka, PupLight for night time visibility and safety, and TTouch
comfort balance harness (leash shoulder attachment over her point
of balance). (Avoids the unnecessary, spinal flexing of harnesses
that attach further down the back.) Even when you can't see the dog,
you know where they are from the PupLight beam on the ground, seen

Doggie Food Taste Tests! Jenny is delighted to participate in the Doggie Food Taste Tests. Here she is trying out some of The Honest Kitchen foods (whole foods). She liked them all , with a slight preference for chicken. All of our Boarding Dogs (overnighters) get to taste test a number of foods. We'll let you know the results! This is included in our Boarding Services, at no extra charge. |

Training and problem solving is available! From puppies to adult dogs, we can
provide basic training and work with problem solving issues such
as house training, separation anxiety, jumping on people, fear of
noises, leash pulling, inappropriate mouthing and nipping, excessive
barking, and more. We are a certified TTouch Practitioner/Trainer,
and have been a certified evaluator for Canine Good Citizen, Therapy
Dogs International, Therapy Dogs Incorporated, and trained in Delta

TTouch is wonderful! TTouch, a system of body work and groundwork exercises, works to balance the mind, body and spirit. Now used all over the world, on humans and animals, it has proven to be a simple, effective, noninvasive tool for relaxing, focusing and training the body to reach it's perfect balance. We use TTouch in all our training and grooming. You can add TTouch sessions to your dog's stay at Canines Unlimited. |

Koa is shown (far left) pressing the release pedal, and (at right)
then catches the ball as it is tossed out of the launcher. It took
Koa only 15 minutes (a record?) to learn how to play flyball, and
launch and catch the ball.
These
training items are add-on features."We were so incredibly fortunate
that Martha was able to provide dog-sitting/care for Jenny while we had
to be out of town for medical reasons for almost 3 weeks. When we came
back to Juneau, Jenny was even more balanced, content, self-assured, and
healthy than she was when we left. Martha gave us updates as often as
we wished while we were gone, successfully worked with Jenny on our choice
of training priorities as well, provided appropriate clothing to keep
comfortable in the inclement weather, as well as giving her plenty of
1:1 time, exercise and T-Touch. I did not have one moment of concern about
Jenny's physical, mental or emotional health while we were gone, and we
were so thrilled and surprised to get back an even more balanced dog than
we left. Martha also gave us a thorough write-up of Jenny's care and concerns
when we returned.

"First, the dogs being with you took
all the worry out of being away from them--a first for me--especially
after receiving the emails and pictures of the dogs. In fact, the emails
and pictures brought us a great deal of pleasure. (The pictures were like
"icing on the cake.") For the first time in many years, I will
feel comfortable leaving home for a two or three week vacation--something
I have not done for years--and even then, uncomfortably so. You see, our
dogs are the center of my life.
Secondly, the dogs came home better behaved than when they left. You definitely
taught them (and us) a thing or two (or three or four) to help with their
behavior. I really appreciate your tips about handling, and will follow
through as you suggested.
Thirdly, your sincere love and caring for the dogs was apparent. When
you talked about Josie, literally tears came to your eyes. Where in the
world are you going to find someone to take care of your dogs whose love
comes very close to that of your own?!

"We are very fortunate in Juneau
to have someone like Martha Fischbach here. Having lost my last two dogs
to cancer I am now more diligently researching nutrition and other modalities
for dogs. I am a firm believer that the food/sustenance that we put into
our bodies as humans and what we give our dogs to eat is a major factor
for maintaining a healthy body and prevention of illnesses, including
cancer. I have read many articles about how many of even the most well
known dog and cat foods on the market are very low quality when truly
analyzed and how they can contribute to many illnesses in dogs and cats.
Martha offers very healthy and nutritious dog (and cat) foods that are
not available anywhere else in Juneau. I was so pleased to read a recent
article in The Whole Dog Journal where I saw their list of recommended
