What is TTouch?
The Tellington Touch, a gentle, simple, non-invasive way to communicate with your pet. It is a system of body work and ground work exercises, in non-habitual ways of moving, to help allow the body to find its balance or wellbeing.

TTouch provides solid, practical solutions for challenges common among dogs, cats, and other animals including:

  • Excessive barking and chewing
  • Fear and shyness
  • Jumping up and leash pulling
  • Scratching or digging
  • Fear biting
  • Car sickness
  • Nervousness, tension and stress
  • Aging
  • And more...

TTouch creates a relationship with your pet based on trust and cooperation, instead of dominance. This new relationship, or partnership, leads to improved communication, more effective learning, higher self-esteem, comfort and happiness with your pet.

If you pet is suffering through an illness or old age, TTouch can be very beneficial to both you and your pet during these times. The TTouch techniques can help your pet feel better and increase their quality of life. TTouch does not replace veterinary care.

TTouch Testimonial-after "quilling" and subsequent surgeries:

Hi Martha,
Thank you for teaching us about T-Touch! A few months ago our 2 year old malamute/lab mix tangled with a porqupine and ended up with over 35 quills wacked into her hind leg. Over the course of a month she was sedated three different times in order to cut out tangled and twisted quills causing her such pain that she could not use her hind leg to run and play. She was miserable for a long time, but using T-Touch helped to calm her and let her know how much we cared about her and wanted her to heal. T-Touch helped us connect with Leda so she could relax, feel safe and get better. I know by using this special technique we were able to give her extra strength to heal quickly. We are so glad that T-Touch helped her get that bounce back in her stride and be a happy, healthy pup again!

All the time Leda begs for T-Touch. We love to be close, connected and relaxed with her as these are good things to share with your dog.

TTouch Testimonial (14 yr. old arthritic dog)- after one-15 minute session:
"...Shira is doing great!!! The sway or dip in her back has almost totally disappeared, she wants to leap off the front step on her own, she is puttering around the yard, and is just really happy. Thank you!!!

When Nancy and I left (the 15 minute TTouch session)...Shira walked out with us and twice she turned around and headed back toward your house. I had to go after her, and turn her around again...twice!!!"

TTouch Testimonial-Veterinary office visit (after about 10 minutes of training):

After about ten minutes of training (as part of our Obedience Class course work), a student was able to apply her knowledge and success with the technique, the next days, during a visit to her veterinarian's office.

"Also wanted you to know that while Chulo was at the vet's office Thursday he was pretty wired and all over the place so I used the T Touch technique on him. He sat down and and let me continue. After only a few circles he laid down and remained in that position until the vet came in."

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)

EFT is a simple technique of phrases and tapping certain points on your body (can be done surrogately for your pet)that can be used for any situation. The basic manual is available free, on-line, and there are many examples of uses with pets and other animals on their website. We have used it successfully in obedience classes, with grooming dogs and during private consultations.
